The name

MAVAZI

Mavazi is the Swahili word for clothing. A plain word for something people use to say who they are before they open their mouth. That's the whole idea: what you put on is a statement, so make it one worth reading.

MAVAZI was founded by Braylon Calais, a football player building a Black-owned streetwear label on his own terms. He started with one hundred hats instead of a catalog, because the beginning should be something you can count.

Questions

How many are being made?
One hundred. Each hat carries its own number, 1 through 100. There is no restock of The First 100.
Which number will I get?
Numbers are assigned at checkout and kept private. You find out which one is yours when the hat arrives.
Can I buy more than one?
No. One per customer, verified by email, phone and shipping address.
When does it ship?
January 1, 2027. Free shipping within the United States. We are not shipping internationally on this release.
What is your return policy?
The First 100 is a final-sale preorder. If your hat arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us and we will make it right.
